The 18-Stone Mechanism is the standard electric adjustable bed mechanism included with all Laybrook adjustable beds at no extra cost. It supports users up to 18 stone (114kg) per person and provides 5-part movement with multiple adjustment positions, allowing the head, back, leg and foot sections to be raised and lowered independently for optimal comfort.

We recommend that customers weighing around 16 stone (101kg) or more consider upgrading to the heavy-duty mechanism. This provides additional support and accounts for natural weight fluctuations over time, ensuring long-term reliability.

Please note that all weight limits refer to the user only and do not include the weight of the mattress, duvet, pillows or any other items on the bed. These must be taken into account alongside the weight of the user.
