The Adjustable Bed Firm-Edge Memory Foam Mattress is designed for people who have limited balance or find themselves slipping forward when sitting on the edge of their mattress. A firm perimeter on one side of the mattress provides a stable, supportive surface that helps maintain an upright position and makes it easier to stand from the bed.

The mattress is made from Visco Elastic memory foam, a temperature-sensitive material that responds to body heat and pressure. The highest pressure points — typically the hips and shoulders — generate heat as you lie down, causing the foam to soften in those areas. This evens out weight distribution across the mattress, reducing pressure and limiting movement during the night.

The mattress uses cool foam with open-cell technology, which allows air to circulate freely throughout. Castling — channels cut into the foam — draws air through to maintain an even body temperature. The removable, washable cover is made from double stretch cotton, providing maximum ventilation and helping moisture evaporate quickly.

Every mattress is made individually to order and calibrated to the owner's weight and preferred firmness. Where two people share a dual adjustable bed with different weights or preferences, each side is manufactured to their own specification — unlike mattresses built to a single standard. The firm edge is on one side only; when ordering, please specify whether you require it on the left or right side, as viewed when standing at the foot of the bed facing the headboard.

Delivery and Installation

If you pay for our delivery and installation service, our national team of trained engineers will deliver and install your mattress, ensuring everything is set up perfectly.

Widths vary by size: 2ft 6" — 750mm (29.5 inches); 3ft — 910mm (36 inches); 3ft 6" — 1,067mm (42 inches); 4ft — 1,210mm (47.5 inches); 4ft 6" — 1,355mm (53 inches); 5ft — 1,510mm (59.5 inches); 6ft — 1,810mm (71 inches). Other sizes are available made to measure on request.
