The Adjustable Bed Q-flex Firm-Edge Mattress is the original mattress designed specifically for adjustable beds, with the addition of a firm perimeter along one side. This firm edge provides a stable, supportive surface for people who have limited balance or find themselves slipping forward when sitting on the edge of the mattress — making it easier to stand safely from a seated position.

The mattress uses the highest-quality Q-flex foam, a cool foam with open-cell technology that allows air to circulate freely throughout. Castling — channels cut into the foam — draws air through to regulate body temperature and keep you cool as you turn in bed. The removable, washable cover is made from double stretch cotton, which provides maximum ventilation and helps moisture evaporate quickly.

Every mattress is made individually to order and calibrated to the owner's weight and preferred firmness. Where two people share a dual adjustable bed with different weights or preferences, each side is manufactured to their own specification — unlike mattresses built to a single standard. The firm edge is on one side only; when ordering, please specify whether you require it on the left or right side, as viewed when standing at the foot of the bed facing the headboard.

You can sleep on the mattress for up to 14 nights and if you're not completely satisfied, we'll exchange your mattress free of charge.

Delivery and Installation

If you pay for our delivery and installation service, our national team of trained engineers will deliver and install your mattress, ensuring everything is set up perfectly.

All mattresses are 170mm (7 inches) deep and 1,985mm (78 inches) in length. Widths vary by size: 2ft 6" — 750mm (29.5 inches); 3ft — 910mm (36 inches); 3ft 6" — 1,070mm (42 inches); 4ft — 1,210mm (47.5 inches); 4ft 6" — 1,355mm (53 inches); 5ft — 1,510mm (59.5 inches); 6ft — 1,810mm (71 inches). Other sizes are available made to measure on request.
