The Adjustable Bed Superior Sprung Mattress uses a 1½-inch individually pocket sprung system, with each spring operating independently to provide targeted support and reduce movement transfer between partners. Natural cotton fibres are layered top and bottom to draw heat away from the body, making this one of Laybrook's most breathable sprung mattresses.

Unlike coil sprung designs, the perimeter of this mattress is encased in foam or cotton rather than a metal border wire, which improves flexibility and comfort at the mattress edge — particularly relevant when using the bed in a raised position. The mattress is hand-finished with different densities of foam layered on top of the springs, so whether you choose a soft, medium, or firm feel, it is made to suit your individual preference.

As with all sprung mattresses, some bunching or ridge of the upper materials may appear at the bend point when the bed is raised. This is a characteristic of sprung construction rather than a fault, and is most noticeable at higher incline angles. The mattress is best suited to low-to-moderate incline use. Every mattress is made individually to order to the owner's weight and preferred firmness. Where two people share a dual adjustable bed with different weights or preferences, each side is manufactured to their own specification.

To maintain even wear, this mattress should be turned top to bottom weekly for the first two months, then monthly thereafter.

If you pay for our delivery and installation service, our national team of trained engineers will deliver and install your mattress, ensuring everything is set up perfectly.

All mattresses are 170mm (7 inches) deep and 1,985mm (78 inches) in length. Widths vary by size: 2ft 6" — 750mm (29.5 inches); 3ft — 910mm (36 inches); 3ft 6" — 1,070mm (42 inches); 4ft — 1,210mm (47.5 inches); 4ft 6" — 1,355mm (53 inches); 5ft — 1,510mm (59.5 inches); 6ft — 1,810mm (71 inches). Other sizes are available made to measure on request.
