The Superior Sprung Mattress Upgrade replaces the standard mattress supplied with your Laybrook adjustable bed with a higher-grade pocket sprung mattress, individually made to your weight and preferred firmness. Each spring operates independently in its own fabric pocket, so movement in one part of the mattress does not transfer to another — this reduces partner disturbance and helps maintain the correct support contour around your body.

The mattress uses a 1.5-inch pocket spring system — the optimum depth for an adjustable bed — with natural cotton and wool fibres layered on both sides of the spring unit. These natural fibres are breathable and temperature-regulating, wicking moisture away from the body and keeping the sleep surface cool throughout the night. The combination of individual pocket springs and natural fibre layers provides a more responsive support than open-coil or foam alternatives.

Every mattress is made to order and calibrated to your weight and chosen firmness. Where two people share a dual adjustable bed with different weights or preferences, each side is manufactured to its own individual specification — unlike standard mattresses built to a single size and feel. To maintain the mattress correctly, turn it top to bottom weekly for the first two months, then once a month thereafter.

You can sleep on the mattress for up to 14 nights and if you are not completely satisfied, we will exchange your mattress free of charge.

All mattresses are 170mm (7 inches) deep and 1,985mm (78 inches) in length. Widths vary by size: 2ft 6" — 750mm (29.5 inches); 3ft — 910mm (36 inches); 3ft 6" — 1,067mm (42 inches); 4ft — 1,210mm (47.5 inches); 4ft 6" — 1,355mm (53 inches); 5ft — 1,510mm (59.5 inches); 6ft — 1,810mm (71 inches). Other sizes are available made to measure on request.
